Petrichor's Melody

Productions

Cypress Chvatal-Jones, Founder and President of Petrichor's Melody Productions, was born on in Portland, Oregon. His deep interest in film was evident as early as the second grade, when he would take his parents' Panasonic camera and film stop-action movies with Lego characters. His skills in film developed in middle school where he attended his first digital video class with Matthew Gilley at West Sylvan Middle School. He began to look at film from another perspective and wanted to learn more. He directed and produced his first short film, titled "Sharia", his freshman year of high school after taking additional film classes at the Northwest Film Center. "Sharia" was a twenty minute film about what western society would be like and how it would function under Taliban rule. After it was completed, he was featured in the Oregonian for his efforts and insight on the situation in the Middle East. Cypress is now finished with the screenplay for his first feature-length film, "My Best Friend", and plans to have the film completed by early 2011. He hopes that you will come support his film and future career.

Steven Baca was born in San Jose, California. As a child he and his father would habitually watch movies together. This spurned his deep-rooted love for movies. He was the supporting actor in the film "Orange Soda", made at West Sylvan Middle School, the same school middle school Cypress Chvatal-Jones attended. He was brought into producing "My Best Friend" in the early stages of development because Chvatal-Jones understood how much Baca appreciated film and how motivated he was to help create a unique piece of art.
