About us
Petrichor's Melody Productions is a film making company based in Portland, Oregon. Our first short film, "Sharia", depicts how life in modern America would be under the intensely religious rule of the Taliban. It was released in late 2009 to high acclaim.
Current Projects
We are currently in the process of producing the feature-length film "My Best Friend", a narrative story told from the perspective of each main character's best friend. It is written and directed by filmmaker and actor Cypress Chvatal-Jones. It is currently scheduled to premiere in late 2011 at the theater located in Lincoln High School in downtown Portland, Oregon. Tickets are still available for the upcoming premiere.
T-Jay wakes up in a dark room, tied to a chair with tape over his mouth and a cold, lost voice behind him. Memories of rap rehearsals, skate parks, teeth-clenching fights and living as a rich kid begging for money on the streets flood his head. Funny Eddie remembers his dog, a few rounds off the rifle, a friend resting on the side of a highway, a little girl, and a bullet in his right arm. T-Jay finds himself in suburbia less than an hour later with an unconscious mother laying in the kitchen, a lawsuit, and a story that needs four other witnesses to piece together.
